What does a Postpartum Doula do?
Welcoming a new baby/babies into your home can feel like a big adjustment! It will take time and patience to figure out the best way to feed your baby, and you will also need rest and nurturing care. A postpartum doula comes to your home and works with your family to meet your daily priorities, even as they shift throughout your postpartum journey.
I help with tasks around the house, like light cleaning, dishes and laundry so you have peace of mind as you focus on learning about your baby.
I care for baby while you and your family rest, shower, or connect with any older children.
Never changed a diaper? Not sure how to bathe baby? I am a gentle, in-person guide as you develop your new skills as a parent.
What Clients are Saying
Read testimonials from families I have had the pleasure of working with…
Elissa was proactive in helping with the many day-to-day tasks that can feel overwhelming during the postpartum period. She helped with laundry, dishes, bottle washing, light tidying, meal preparation, organizing, and other household tasks, always paying attention to what would be most helpful that day. She also encouraged us to prioritize our own needs by making sure we had time to eat, hydrate, rest, and recharge.
What we valued most was the sense of trust that developed so naturally. Elissa was knowledgeable, thoughtful, and deeply respectful of our family’s routines and preferences.

Elissa is a wonderful postpartum doula. She is extremely professional and personable. She always arrives on time, if not early, and comes well-prepared. She is always ready to check in about priorities and dig into tasks. She'll help with small tasks like laundry and dishes, picking up groceries nearby, baby-wearing to give mom and dad a little break, and even other projects that you may need help with like organizing or putting things away. She also was super helpful with sharing tips and tricks and/or helping us find information along the way.

Thanks to her, we felt supported and well-cared for. We are so grateful for her help and highly recommend Elissa to any families seeking a postpartum doula.
